This well-established multinational healthcare company has a range of high quality and innovative products for the medical market. Their tenured team in Wellington now requires a new engineer to grow and develop with the Senior engineer based locally.
 
You will have the opportunity to use your previous experience in servicing of medical products or you may be an operating theatre technician with a strong interest in electronics looking to enter the commercial arena. Even if you haven’t worked on major hospital equipment but are a highly skilled electrician with transferrable skills – Give me a call and let talk about the role.
 
Your role will be out and about in the hospitals, supporting market-leading products and developing strong relationships with clients. Therefore your excellent communication skills, customer empathy and technical background will be of importance in this role.
 
Reporting to the Auckland-based sales manager your objective is to carry out planned maintenance and repairs on time, to budget and to strict standards and compliance requirements.
 
Area of Responsibility

  • Repair Mechanical equipment, electromechanical equipment and power supplies  
  • Troubleshoot for problems on-site  
  • Provide customers with advice and assistance  
  • Work individually and as part of the technical services team  
 
Personal Qualifications
  • EST Licence and Registration are essential  
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills with a strong customer focus  
  • Excellent problem solving and analytical skills  
  • Computer literate  
  • Experience in a biomedical and/or high tech field will be highly regarded
