This company is entering an exciting period of growth, expanding its rare disease portfolio and strengthening its engagement with clinicians, hospitals, and patient advocacy groups nationwide.
 
The Opportunity:

We're seeking an experienced and motivated Key Account Manager to lead the rare disease portfolio across New Zealand.  Based in Auckland and 4 days per week this role will suit someone who is energised by strategic relationship management, cross-functional collaboration, and the opportunity to make a tangible impact in the rare disease space.
 
You'll partner with hospital specialists, KOLs, and healthcare providers to deliver value-based solutions that enhance patient care while ensuring commercial objectives are achieved.
 
Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and grow key accounts across New Zealand in line with brand and business objectives
• Build meaningful partnerships with healthcare professionals, hospital pharmacists, and KOLs
• Implement account-level business plans and market access strategies
• Collaborate with medical, market access, and marketing colleagues to support launches and educational initiatives
• Identify new opportunities within existing and emerging therapeutic areas
 
About You:

• Previous experience in pharmaceuticals or biotech, ideally within rare disease or specialty care (e.g. haematology, immunology, metabolic, or neurology)
• Proven success in strategic account management or hospital sales
• Strong commercial acumen with the ability to translate data into actionable insights
• Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills
• Self-motivated, well organised, and able to work autonomously across a national territory
