An exciting opportunity has become available to join a globally recognised healthcare organisation at the forefront of vaccine innovation and disease prevention. This unique hybrid role combines national sales leadership with responsibility for a key South Island territory, offering the opportunity to influence strategy, develop people and maintain direct customer relationships.
 
Based in Christchurch, you will be responsible for driving commercial performance across New Zealand while leading, coaching and developing a high-performing sales team. At the same time, you will manage key customer relationships throughout the South Island, ensuring strong market presence and continued business growth.
 
This is an ideal opportunity for an experienced pharmaceutical, vaccine or healthcare sales professional who enjoys both strategic leadership and hands-on customer engagement.
Key Responsibilities
 
• Lead, coach and develop a national sales team to achieve commercial objectives and sales targets
• Drive the execution of sales strategies and business plans across the New Zealand market
• Translate marketing initiatives into practical and effective field-based activities
• Build and maintain strong relationships with healthcare professionals, key stakeholders and opinion leaders
• Manage and grow a key South Island territory through effective account management and customer engagement
• Monitor sales performance and provide ongoing coaching, mentoring and development support to team members
• Identify opportunities to grow market share and expand business within existing and new accounts
• Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders to deliver commercial and strategic objectives
• Maintain accurate customer and activity information through CRM systems
 
About You
 
To be successful in this role, you will bring:
• Pharmaceutical, vaccine, medical device or broader healthcare sales experience
• Demonstrated people leadership, coaching or sales management experience
• Strong territory management and account management capabilities
• A track record of achieving and exceeding commercial objectives
• Excellent communication, presentation and relationship-building skills
• The ability to influence and engage a broad range of healthcare stakeholders
• Strong commercial acumen, analytical skills and strategic thinking
• A tertiary qualification in business, science, nursing, pharmacy or a related discipline
