This is a newly created role, supporting the lower North Island region, with flexibility to be based in Hawke's Bay, Palmerston North, or the surrounding areas.  Keen to move??
 
Robotic-assisted surgery is expanding in New Zealand — and you can be part of the journey. We're seeking a Senior Robotic Clinical Specialist to combine clinical expertise with commercial drive and ensure the success of this ground-breaking technology.
 
This isn't your standard clinical support job. It's a hybrid sales + clinical role where you'll work in the operating theatre, shoulder-to-shoulder with surgeons, while also driving adoption, engagement, and long-term sales growth.
 
What You'll Do:

•  Take ownership of robotic accounts once installed, coordinating training, stock, and theatre team engagement
• Support live surgical cases in the early rollout, ensuring surgeons and OR staff are confident and supported
• Drive surgeon engagement and influence adoption — turning first cases into long-term success stories
• Deliver training for surgeons, nurses, and hospital staff, and coordinate proctored cases
• Partner with sales, service engineers, and project managers in a collaborative, matrix environment
• Act as an ambassador for surgical robotics — raising awareness and growing adoption in your region

 
Who You Are
We're looking for more than just technical know-how. These roles demand hunger, high EQ, and curiosity and:
 

• Bachelor's degree in Science, Nursing, Biomedical Engineering, or related
• Essential: Medical device sales experience (clinical/biomed candidates must have sales track record)
• Experience in hospital or theatre environments (capital equipment or surgical devices ideal)
• Natural relationship-builder with strong influencing skills
• Resilient, solution-focused, and comfortable working with ambiguity
• Willingness to travel regularly; occasional weekend case support may be required
• Robotics background a bonus, but not essential
